- Reviewing and evaluating design concepts and advising on viability
- Preparing preliminary and elemental estimates of construction cost
- Preparation of the viability report

- Developing and ratifying the proposed procurement program
- Reviewing and evaluating design and outline specifications and exercising cost control
- Preparing detailed estimates of construction cost
- Assisting the client in reviewing and agreeing the financial viability report
- Commenting on space and accommodation allowances and preparing an area schedule

Documentation and Procurement

- Development of the procurement strategy for contractors, subcontractors and suppliers
- Reviewing working drawings for compliance with the approved budget of construction cost and financial viability report
- Preparing detailed Bills of Quantities for both principal and subcontract procurement
- Preparation of strategic financial risk report related to tenders received
- Preparation of contract documentation for signature

Construction

- Preparing schedules of predicted cash flow
- Preparing pro-active estimates for proposed variations for client decision-making
- Adjudicating and resolving financial claims by the contractor(s)
- Establishing and maintaining a financial control system
- Resolution of contractual claims by the contractor(s)
- Preparing valuations for payment certificates to be issued by the principal agent
- Preparing final account(s) including remeasurement(s) as required for the works on a progressive basis
